Dua lipa is a English singer and musician born August 22, 1995, at London United Kingdom. Following her stint as a model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album titled "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album climbed up to the third position on the U.K. Chart for Albums. Eight singles were released and included Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked at number 6 within the United States. Lipa's album, which is now been certified Platinum in various countries across the world, won her two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) in the categories of British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was conceived in London by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. Her siblings are Rina and Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play guitar and sing with her dad Oda. He is the leader singer/guitarist for the Kosovan-rock band Oda. The family home where Lipa grew up, was one in which her father played music by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa was only five when she began singing. She began singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Sylvia Young Theater School when she was just nine years young. Lipa sang Beautiful, by Christina Aguilera, and If Ain't Get You by Alicia Keys. Lipa has signed her first recording agreement in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. The singer released her debut single New Love in August of 2015.
